Britool evt600rr torque wrench
Discussion
I was given one of these years ago and I've never had cause to use it. Looks in good order but how do you use?
I can see ft/lb marks on the handle so I adjust by twisting the pin on the end, but however I set it I can't get the thing to "click"?? Only looking for 20 ft/lb so not very tight. Am I missing something?

Adjust it right down as far as you can, clamp the square drive end in a vice and give it a pull. If it doesn't click, there's a good chance that it's just FUBAR'd.
The good news is they can be repaired, just send it back through your local agent.
A good tip when you're finished is to always wind the torque wrench down when you're finished. Leaving it wound up can distort the spring inside and it won't give a true torque reading.
