Borescope - recommendations
Discussion
Not quite home mechanics, but mechanicing none the less. Can anyone recommend me a good high quality borescope. I'm working on a large diesel engine (4MW) and have removed the injectors. Our maintenance program calls for us to use a borescope to inspect the valves and liners and the one we have is completely duff. Can anyone recommend a good quality borescope, preferably that we can get still photographs from if possible and I'll try and order one for my work.
I've used a snap-on one before, but you could not manipulate the head to look in different directions, but apart from that it was quite good.
Any help would be appreciated.

You might dismiss it because of the price, but you'd be suprised at how good the picture quality is, it has a dimmable LED light and you can capture photo's and video. You can't adjust the head, but I've only ever seen medical ones do that. This is a video I took at the weekend of an S2 engine that's ingested something!

This is going through a std car spark plug hole so access is somewhat limited, if you're using it on huge diesel engines you'll have better access. For £30 buy it for work and if it's no good, keep it for yourself!
