Recently bought a Vectra C with the 3 button key. The unlock button doesn't work (button itself is worn away). I haven't had the battery connected as it is a none runner. What's the best remedy for this without re-coding keys etc?

Thanks

Usually you re synchronize the key buttons, make sure the battery in the key is good first and the car battery is connected. Turn on the ignition and within 30 seconds press the lock or unlock button, the central locking should operate to indicate its been programmed

Some of those Vauxhall keys can't be recoded but you wont need to worry about that if the worn key is the reason it doesn't work. You can buy pattern key cases new, just the shell & put your electric innards in the new case.

Edited.. How do you know the fob doesn't work if you've never had the battery connected to the car?
