A friend of mine has a 62 plate Octavia VRS blackline, with a problem that is driving him mad. Basically, when it's been cold overnight the front doors remain deadlocked (rears unlock). It can't be locked again afterwards either. The car has been at the Skoda dealer for all bar 11 days of his 5 weeks of ownership now and they still havnet a clue what is wrong or how to fix it. They have admitted to him last week that they do not have a clue what the problem with it is. Apparently after a lot of googling, he has unearthed a similar case involving an Audi S3 that the owner eventually sold when his dealership couldnt fix it it either.

Can anyone help?

Thanks for the replies. He threatened to reject the car and miraculously it has suddenly been fixed (or so they say...)
