My terrano temp and fuel gauge have decided to stay on permanently? Weird! Nothing has been done to it to explain why. It's not a huge problem but as its a 3rd vehicle with minimal use this problem eats the battery after a few days.

Help, any ideas?

would expect to see a stuck relay etc or a strange wiring short to cause this sort of issue

Thank you for such a quick reply! No fuses have blown I checked. Good shout on the relays will check tomorrow. There in a different box to the fuses under the bonnet. Thanks for the tip.

by a short i meant that the switched 12v supply to the gauges could be touching a permanent 12v supply somewhere but this would be very unusual

Its a strange one. Just been out with a torch looking! Just to be safe the battery is now disconected. I found a box under the bonnet with 5 relays in it but no clues as to what they operate? I tried pulling some out but they are stuck solid. How do I remove 1 by 1 to see ahich 1 it is and how do I identify what each operates?

they do get stuck tight sometimes, only advice i can give is to remove one by one and see if the gauges drop to zero

Will do tonight. Going to drop wd40 around them an hour before to see if it helps persuade them out.
