Hi guys.

My friend has caused an absoloute nightmare! He has managed to spill battery acid all over my back seats and they are beyond any reasonable repair. I am however struggling to locate a website / dealer (non Audi) or even a scrap yard where I can pick up the same style to replace it (them?!)

Does anyone have any ideas as to where I should look or who I could contact to help? I would prefer not to go to Audi. The quote they gave me was pretty expensive.

Failing that, I would consider (if reasonably priced!) changing all of the seats (Front and Rear). I appreciate that it is likely to require a skilled person to do the works, as I have no idea whatsoever.

Would appreciate your thoughts.

eBay?

Often a few cars being broken on there.

Had a quick look, but doesnt appear to be many on there; but a couple.

I am not sure which ones would suit the Saloon, or if they (the seats) are all the same? If they are all the same, how old can the seats be?

All a bit confusing to me to be honest?

Do you have a pic of the seats? eBay is a good bet but you have to be patient and wait for the right seats to come up. You can set up email alerts to make it easier.

Another option is to have them retrimmed. Depends how much you want to pay.

thanks, must appreciated. I shall need to be a bit more patient.

I wont be paying for their replacement either.

Have you considered an insurance claim - there is a fair chance they would pay as an accident. Guy I worked with claimed on insurance for a new engine when he put petrol in his diesel jag.
