I have a Vauxhall Brava pickup with a cracked sump case. I have patched this up with some chemical metal and it is not leaking, however I am looking to fix this permanently. I have already purchased a another sump case to bolt on, however it is not an easy job. It is not just a case of dropping the front axel down as it won't come far enough to replace the sump. It either needs a complete front strip down (don't really want to expense to replace the CV boots etc as I will sell the vehicle soon) or the engine lifting out. A local mechanic I spoke to said he would be inclined to lift the engine out to do the job, however he does not want the job. If I am honest I don't really fancy doing this myself and wondered if anyone would be interested in the job?

Might be an idea to put your location on your profile?

Selling it ? leave the repaired sump on it.

Sounds like a right mere and not a cheap job to pay someone.

If the repair you have done is a good job leave it welded up sumps etc are fine as long as its a good job
