Long story short I ended up putting 5 litres of diesel (from a petrol tank that my dad had missfueled) into a Ford Puma this morning, haven't started it since, any easy ideas how to get into the tank to drain this contaminated fuel off?

Tank was almost empty

I wouldn't bother taking it out. Put another 15 or 20 litres of petrol in then drive it up the garage & top it up. A bit of diesel wont do any damage.

If you must take it out though I can't really help because I've never drained a Puma tank. Pull the feed pipe to the engine off underneath somewhere maybe & syphon out, or on an Astra for example the easiest way is to undo & remove the filler tube from the tank & syphon from there, there's always a way.

If the fuel filter is at the back under the car drain most of it out from there by disconnecting a hose. Im not sure where it is on a puma.
