swap mechanical oil pressure gauge for electric one
Discussion
this weekend the oil pressure pipe that connects to the pressure gauge fractured in my '88 cvh engined morgan - spewing oil everywhere. I would like to change the gauge to an electric one.
Is this a pretty straightforward task for the novice amateur mechanic or should I be heading to an auto electrician
I guess there is the argument regards whether mechanical is better than electrical so any thoughts on this too

I fitted an electric sender, still have the pressure switch fitted so will get a red light if there are problems.
Electric sender is 1 wire from sender to gauge, gauge has 3 wires and separate illumination
1 wire from sender
1 wire to earth
1 wire from ignition switched +v
Simples
A feed earth for the engine block and no ptfe on the sender thread
