Not sure if this is better posted in Boats, Planes & Trains but anyway ….

Last night around 7:55pm my wife and I were walking in our village about 3 miles south of York when we saw a line of lights in the sky. They were moving slowly from what seemed like ground level (just appeared above the horizon) and continued upwards until they disappeared.

There was about a dozen of them and once they achieved a certain height they simply disappeared.

They were in the sky in a West, SouthWest location.

We just assumed they were drones of some kind but this morning we both got out our iPhones to see the footage we had taken. My wife’s phone has nothing on it (even though she says she reviewed the video just after taking it) and mine has only 2 seconds (when I know I videos for at least 20 seconds or more) where I see the top light in the line, very bright, suddenly appear to come down towards me and then my phone videos the ground and stops.

All very weird. I wondered if it was something military with some sort of laser/jamming ability but it’s certainly nothing I can explain.

Here’s a screenshot of the start of the video with the bright light at the top - this is the one that then appears to dive.

Yes it does appear to be that but no idea about our iPhone issues or the supposed diving light.

I’d like to say I was drunk but that’s not the case smile
