What did I see? Bright light near the sun

When I say bright light, it wasn’t as bright as the sun but was bright enough to be painful to look at, I’m guessing it’s some kind of optical effect with the sun and clouds but I’ve never seen anything like it.
Bright light is on the right side of these photos, definitely not a camera ‘thing’, in real life I think it was a circle but as I say it was really bright.
