Apparently has landed. Hopefully this will also start sending back photos soon.

And have just seen the title which obviously should be Mars not Mary. Bloody autocorrect.
How do I edit the title?

I wonder if they were saying some Hail Marys as the lander descended?

Photo taken by first Chinese person on Mars smile

Only kidding, great achievement from the Chinese.

But how typically cowardly of them not to cover it live. Had it failed, no mention of it would have been made.

That's alright, given it another ten years and we'll be getting coverage of landers from an on-the-spot correspondent, broadcasting live from Musk Villas.

It's in the same general part of Mars where one of the Vikings landed in 1976.

Probably a bit far for it to nip over and have a look at Viking or Beagle 2.

It would be rather cool for it to drive up to Viking 2 and say "Hello".

The way that map is flattened out makes it look like everything has landed with a few miles of each other.

Did you notice the US Senators waving around pictures from the Chinese probe? We may have another Space Race starting up.
