It's dry and sunny though.

Dry weather at this time of year tends to be quite cold.

I'd rather that than being battered by rinse/repeat Atlantic weather systems.

Meh, I've been out in my T-shirt in February this year. Hasn't been any better/ worse than any other springs that I remember. It's not unusual to snow in April.

Oddly we have noticed blossom seems to come out earlier and earlier, this tyear the trees are greening up a week earlier than they would a decade ago.

You can browse through UK time-series temperature data by month - mean-max, mean-min, mean-daily, here:

https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/research/climate/maps...

The OP lives in south england I believe. Year to year variability is large, but not really seeing a cooling trend in recent years in the spring months and most of the highest minimums have been in recent years

Here's the mean-minimum temps Mar- May

OP probably feeling like a lot of people do as there has been a cold northerly wind for several months.
Obviously a few bamboozling graphs have put the world to rights.
Probably what gets thrust in front of an investor when he questions where his money has gone lol.

We did have very warm weather at the end of March. It's normal for April to bring rain, wind, frost and even snow but May usually sees the background temperature warming up. Except for Bank Holidays.

April had the UK's lowest average minimum temperatures for 99 years and was the 3rd coldest since records began in 1884.

So colder than anyone alive has ever experienced. Ok there are a few that were alive but I doubt the can recollect it.
Cant even run away to somewhere warm due to covid and nowhere with ease in europe for a new life in the sun due to brexit.
God works in mysterious ways...
