Ah hell, thought I would chuck this in there on this auspicious day, or day of doom, and no not the doom that was so fun back in the day with LAN parties on your works Ethernet ...

So how has Trump done with NASA in the last 4 years?

Well actually, not too bad! He put in some unknown from the Oklahoma's 1st representative congressionally wise rather than the 2nd representative and as it turns out some republican you never knew proved to be

A OK

I really like Jim Frankenstein, or whatever his red neck name is, an excellent NASA top banana who had to try and keep NASA out of politics too much, give some old guard hats off to Boeing etc whilst giving free reign to private companies.

Well juggled that man. beer

He still will not get anyone to the Moon before 2024 is my guess, to give Trump some bigly points if he lasts that long ...

Also Trump has done ok with the NASA budget, to be fair, though angled more at the moon and a flag, rather than pure science.

I'm going to give him 7.5 out of 10.

NASA and Bridenstein are to me, the only good thing that came out of Trump’s presidency.
I think Artemis will struggle under Biden, if he wins. In fact, it may struggle anyway.

But if I had a vote, I’d still not have voted for Trump.

Good summary, me too.

It will be interesting how NASA does with either candidate for the next 4 years, although of course in the greater scheme of things NASA is a nice to have at the moment I guess considering the bigger picture.

Let's hope things settle down and it gets more in the frame, from a purely get young people involved perspective, people on the moon is great. That sort of thing captures imaginations for young astronomers - more than James Webb etc.

Me and my silver linings smile

Er NASA under Trump has toodled along pretty much exactly as it was pre Trump. It will continue on its current path very much the same post Trump. NASA’s last “big” change in their what and how was a decade or so.
Nobody in industry is expecting much to change in that respect. Truth be told the industry is in the middle of rampant change anyway, esp on the Yank side, but that’s all below NASA level.

Generally, the Administrator of NASA changes when there is a change of President. I thought that Bridenstein was doing a pretty good job. He could be kept on by Biden but it's probably not likely.

Heard that a few days ago. It's a pity but half expected. It's normal for a new Administrator to be appointed if there is a change of President.
