Scientific American gets political

What do you think of this? For the first time in 175 years, Scientific American tells people to vote the president out, primarily over his rejection of science dealing with the Coronavirus.

Inevitably the response on Twitter is for lots of Russian bots to say they are cancelling their subscriptions so it's really difficult to gauge the response. I wonder how this will play out for them longer term though.

Longer term? They'll be fine.

They will be around far longer than Trump regardless of whether or not he wins in November.

And IMO they are absolutely right to call him out.

Trump is utterly clueless and simply won't listen to expert advice or even proven facts.

He always knows best.

When someone makes so many erroneous scientific statements I think it is fair to challenge him.

Trump is the tip of a pyramid of ignorance and general dismissal of science and facts.

Any institution that supports the scientific method and the worth of science, knowledge and facts, needs to speak out.
