Well unfortunately we are not all proved wrong, but I'm sure its a conspiracy to ensure we dont get to know the truth.

I'm not sure the worlds like a frisbee, I'm more likely to believe its on a turtle with 4 elephants on it.

I've seen the video on twitter and whilst you don't "see" anything, it's pretty obvious what happens and it's pretty grim frown

Rather than go up in a rocket, I'm not sure why he didn't just walk up a hill/mountain to reach the same height and prove his point...

He was shot down by NASA, in fear of him proving the earth is flat.

'"Mad" Mike Hughes, 64, crash-landed his steam-powered rocket shortly after take-off near Barstow on Saturday.'

That reads like an HG Wells story!

That makes it sound like he was somewhat in control, when in reality, he just went up, and came straight back down again! Gravity is a cruel mistress......

He has this year's Darwin Award tied up and it's only February.

He was 64 (I think), so presume he's got kids, hence no award for him.

Parachute failure - Rocket Man
Is not a contender for Darwin awards. If
Your brakes fail causing you to crash and die does
That make you a Darwin contender?

He wasn’t really a flat earthier. He just said that to get funding for his rocket after a previous fund raiser failed. Junk science is where the money is at these days it seems.

Faulty logic. There is a bit of difference between going to the shops in a car, and trying to get to 5,000 feet in a home-made rocket powered by steam.

He certainly made the earth a bit flatter when he came back down.

What an idiot. What did he think he was going to achieve when as said, he could observe what he wanted to see much easier and safely.

He's not exactly a modern day Auguste Picard. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auguste_Piccard
