To not be pessimistic at the end of the year though, it's certainly going to be an interesting decade ahead for physics, particularly with the two planned CERN upgrades and the James Webb telescope, all against a background of quantum computing development, AI & machine learning advances and, perhaps most importantly, first plasma to start the process of powering us all.
I'm sure that in ten years we'll know a lot more about 'stuff', and indeed, what's in it.
