It would be interesting to see if they have survived and give a few hundred thousand years if they developed....

As we now think the Laika experiment was rather mean spiritied I am sure in 500 years time this will be similar where our descendants are shocked to see living organisms being sent into a vacuum just to see what happens.

I object to any living organism being used outside their natural environment to test things with the space race to be honest. Whether it be apes being slapped to rocket sleds or things lower down the evolutionary chain being sent into low earth orbit or the moon....

The right stuff should be the right stuff that chose to be the right stuff in the first place.

It really fks me off to be honest

There were 40 mice on the SpaceX resupply flight to the ISS last week too. They never mention what horrors they undergo in the name of science.

As for space spiders, I always wondered where David Bowie got his inspiration.

I think you'll find that the moss piglets never got anywhere near the surface of the moon.

As soon as it became apparent the guidance system was shagged, the lead Tardigrade - answers to the name 'Ripper' - activated the tiny spore drive they'd smuggled on board and they all departed.

I reckon they haven't survived - having been eaten by the Soup Dragon. Tardigrade Stew - yummy.

If they were dormant on arrival, they may still be viable and may remain so for a long time. They can't actually live there, though.

Or they are heated over a burner (Gas Mark 6) for 20 minutes by the Soup Dragon.

Got any decent blue string pudding recipies?

I presume you've seen "The Visitor" from the latest batch of Clangers?

If not, I can heartily recommend it to anyone here with the merest hint of a sense of humour! biggrin

I had a cricket living in my passenger side mirror. We used to cruise around, enjoying the breeze, checking out the women...good times.
