Ok the idea and science behind this must have been fun, but there is where it should end.

Fancy a cup of coffee anyone?

This is just as much a waste of resources and as vacuous as Virgin Galactic and any other "public" space joy ride.

There's people who'll pay top dollar for coffee that's been processed through an ocelot's asshole, so I'm sure there's a market for this crap too.

Stick it in an experimental restaurant with a £50 price tag and someone will buy it, to go with their poached egg brownie or some other daftness.

Wealthy folks will spend their money however they wish and will not give a rats arse what others might think of their more frivolous expenditures. Many provide the Grants that drive Science that seeks to cure cancer and other terrible diseases or explore new ideas and theories that will ultimately aid everyone; these same folk are entitled to also request fun stuff too.

It is no different to any frivolous enjoyment that you pay partake in, just on a different spend scale because, well, they can. smile

In this case, a couple of chaps are aiming to provide something the wealthier among us will find entertaining and why not? If they do find a market and make a lot of money, kudos to them. As for those who buy the coffee, so what? One assumes the cost of that coffee is a relative insignificance to them in the grand scheme of things.

I applaud ideas like this - the World would be a dull, grey place if left to the misery's among us to control.
