Astronomy talks in pubs.

Mainly an American thing but apparently Edinburgh and Portsmouth have had some. Just been to a couple of interesting talks in Leiden on the formation of stars, and supermassive black holes, plus a few drinks and a nice dinner beforehand. Not a bad evening out if you're interested in such things.

An excellent idea, going down to the local for a few pints with your M8s. Not too many though, or it could get Messier.

Sounds like a great idea - as long as the pub grub isn't restricted to those on a Vegan diet.

Good point. Those interested need regular updates...a new general catalogue would be useful.
