It's not rocket science to work that out.

Its about other stuff

Like non rockets.

Actually, I might be wrong, I'm watching a film about the V2 experiments.

Absolutely fascinating!

PS one my own efforts at getting a mouse into space https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yyTvZC891Q

Spot on, I haven't seen anyone post about latest Bus, Train or boat 'science' its all about rockets and Oh look at that 'big one' very little to nothing being discussed about the science behind the payload but more about Oh I wish I could be a spaceman......its about time the train from platform 2 Ooops the Rocket on launch pad 2 was placed in the travel section.

Its no different to saying McLaren has just produced a new automobile lets stuff it in to the science section...

Rant over...... biggrin

If you move the "rocket" stuff anywhere else that sub-forum would fill up, and this one would empty. People are interested in rockets. If you want to alter the rocketry:other stuff ratio, post something interesting about other stuff; I would think you'd get a pretty decent response if others found it as interesting as you.

Exactly, other science topics are not banned. If someone wants to discuss the wonders of chemistry or biology or other forms of engineering, they are free to do so. It just so happens that space science and space technology tends to be a popular subject in a forum where people are generally interested in advanced and "sexy" technology.

I'd love a discussion on dinosaurs and biological evolution. I've even started a few threads on these subjects in the past - but they never get very far.

Rockets end up here because they don't go in 'Boats, Trains and Planes'.

Evolution - fire away Eric!

Not on this particular thread.

And as I said, I did post up some stuff on new dinosaur discoveries a few years ago and it elicited little interest, so I decided it wasn't really what people were interested in discussing on this particular forum.

That's odd - there seem to be a lot of dinosaurs on PH. You'd think they would be interested in their ancestors.

Edit : being a dinosaur is a state of mind, not calendar age.

Oh they do fit in that catogory, rockets are just a transport system to get from A to B nowt more special than any other form of transport. Only the deluded would state anything else. Just looked at the Orion thread and comments are options about costs, project management etc so no science going on there either,

I taker it all back, after seeing the latest bunch of threads about space rockets.

I wonder how many rocket posts are on the Science section of MumsNet?

That mumsnet sex forum is great. We need that here. Possibly not science though.
