Yes, but again for the Yanks as they use '/' where we use '.', although it's becoming prevalent over here too.

I was always taught both date and time use full stops as separators; 11.09 14.3.2018 - it used to be part of the Oxford Style Guide IIRC.
Computers seem to prefer the colon and oblique in line with our Colonial cousins, which is why I suppose the American format has become so popular now.

22 July is known as pi approximation day - but 22/7 is actually a closer approximation to pi than 3.14.

diameter of earth = 12742 km

circumference with pi = 40030 km

circumference with 22/7 = 40046 km (16 km out)

circumference with 3.14 = 40010 km (20 km out)
