Astronaut Thomas Pesquet: ‘Earth is just a big spaceship with a crew. It needs looking after https://gu.com/p/82vzq/sbl

Hmm so we are all astronauts after all, I guess its just a different trajectory those in who want to be in Rockets take, so once space travel has become common place it will be no different or exciting as living on Spaceship earth smile and much more boring once you have arrived on Mars

I was about to say spaceships don't usually just go round in a big circle but that's not really true (outside of sci-fi) is it smile

Well no difference to the space shuttle or space station, and if you want to do a figure of 8 just fly to the moon.

I read the title and thought of a story I heard about a friend of a friend. He did a lot of LSD and believed the earth was a giant space ship but we all forgot about it. This guy had to find the control room to fly us all back home.

Sounded like an interesting idea for a movie.

I lost touch, so know idea if he ever got the help he needed!

Nice one smile maybe you could put your friend in touch with Thomas Pesquet to discuss....

A big spaceship with no crew but lots of passengers might be a better analogy.

Isn't that what the Space X Moon tourist ride about, all automated just passengers fired around the moon and back.
