Was crystal clear here just east of Tiverton in Devon at about 22:30, saw one Perseid, then it clouded over completely - Met Office IR map implies it should clear within the hour - fingers crossed!

Just come in after half an hour. Saw about half a dozen in 30 minutes in a built-up part of Bristol.

I saw 3 in the 10-15 minutes I was outside. Blink and you miss them, as they come streaking past at tremendous speed.

As it was a clear sky we stopped in the New Forest and sat in the car, roof down under a blanket and must have seen at least one every five minutes from around 12-1.30. Nothing however that I would call really bright.

On the way we also stumbled across what I can only assume was a dogging site....

None for me.

The best display for me was yrs ago on a camping trip, desert, beer, lying on back.

I saw 2 on Saturday night in about 20 minutes viewing just after 22:00.

Zero chance of a lie in the next day limits my viewing of these things!

I did see 4 satellites though which I find more intriguing than meteors to be honest.

Was staying on a campsite near Chichester last might and the skies were lovely and clear. Saw around 7 or 8 Perseids ncluding a really good one that left an ionised glow behind it. Also spotted 5 or six satellites.

It's great when your night vision kicks in and you can suddenly make out your surroundings and the fainter stars.

Next door's black cat came to see what I was up to. He was darker than the night that surrounded him, but I could still pick him out. nerd
