Mathematics dunce here - please help with formula!
Discussion
I have been reading this Wiki page and whilst I've been able to work through most of the examples, one is eluding me.
How do I break this equation down?
I have tried 10^1/30
Thanks in advance.

Second that. If using calculator, type 10 then the yx button for the 10^ then put the 1/30 in brackets.
Simplified:
1/30 = 0.03333*
10^ 0.0333* = 1.079775.
The maths is pretty easy, it's knowing which buttons to push on the calculator. It's the Y to the power of X button, usually near the square root button.

Very interesting, but as a non mathematician, I can't see the point of such vast numbers...!V8LM said:

Oh no not again!I'd forgotten about that, brain going into self preservation mode I think as then I had to read about Knuth Notation and TREE(3), and have a lie down.
