Has a look between 10.00 pm and 11.00 pm last night and saw absolutely zippo.

Saw a few last night but it wasn't exactly raining down with them. Bit too light in the garden though and the moon hadn't fully set.

Will have another go tonight provided little or no cloud.

Popped out at around 1:30 and stayed for 30 minutes. Saw around 5 streaks but nothing spectacular (maybe I was expecting too much)

Took my kids out to lie on their backs looking up in a field last night, saw 5 in about an hour, including 2 at once.

The kids loved it.

I went out at 3am on Friday morning and saw loads. There were some huge ones too.

First time in years where I managed to see not one Perseid meteor.

Pretty sure that's one at bottom right, but that's all I saw over 2 nights and about 1500 photos.

Nice picture.

It's certainly a meteor but whether it's a Perseid is harder to tell.

I was on holiday in southern Brittany and saw loads. One night in particular produced a spectacular display.

I never watch stuff like that.
It's all John Wyndham's fault!

It's coming to that time of the year again. Should be good conditions for watching as there is no bright moon around 12-13 August.

Here's a NASA article about them:

They'll be at their peak this Sunday.

I'm out in the garden all wrapped up, sky is clear. Not many yet but a really spectacular one about ten minutes ago.

Saw two last night - one really awesome one. Looks like it might be cloudy for the peak though (as usual). frown
