Is there anywhere I can see the actual weather that happened over the last days and weeks in my area - preferably in an hourly format - similar to the forecast on the BBC Website?

I want to check whether my new turf has been rained on or not.

It would also be interesting to see how accurate the weather report was - as personally I think they make it up.....

I've had a google - but going off previous experience, my google skills are weak.

Change the options to location you want/dates and it should work

Don't forget your time machine will need a 'forwards' lever if you ever want to get back.

Weather Underground has lots of personal stations so you can pick the one closest to you and see the history for that site.

Thanks, though checking today's weather, it doesn't match what really happened!

When I'm at work it's hard to know if it has rained or not - the forecast rarely matches what really happens.

stick a bucket outside. If it has water in it when you get home then it has rained. hth.

Aha! I tried this, but if it is sunny later in the day the water evaporates before i get home. tongue out

I'll have to make a proper Blue Peter rain gauge out of an old plastic bottle.....

Or buy a personal weather station... then you can upload the data to a site of your choice so you can view what's going on as it's going on.

As above, this seems an ideal opportunity to purchase a (completely non frivolous) weather station. Then you can monitor not just rainfall but all other meteorological parameters from the web!
