Tonight's Eclipse

Thanks for posting! I was up anyway as I've just handed baby duty over to the other half. Had no idea there was an eclipse tonight. Had a quick peak out the window to look at the mist below us in the valley. Glanced at the moon and noticed oddly dark edge. Having seen this thread I've just gone back and taken a proper look.
Sadly I fell asleep around 2:30 so I missed it. The BBC keeps saying it's 30000 times closer instead of 30000 miles. If that was the case I think we may have felt a jolt. Also they're saying the next one is in 33 years time when it's actually 2033. Is it that difficult for them to get the simplest of facts correct? Hopefully when the next one arrives I'll still be alive
