It is fascinating stuff. Not as impressive as Göbekli Tepe by the look of it, but still cool.
I love the idea of prior advanced civilizations - nothing we build now would leave any trace after 10,000 years, so there seems to be plenty of time between eating fish and growing brains in East Africa 2m years ago and our documented so-called 'antiquity'.

Indeed. Göbekli Tepe is quite clearly a paradigm changer, I used to love the slew of antediluvian civilisation books from a while back. Hancook has his new book out soon. He's been to Göbekli Tepe. I await his book with interest.I love the idea of prior advanced civilizations - nothing we build now would leave any trace after 10,000 years, so there seems to be plenty of time between eating fish and growing brains in East Africa 2m years ago and our documented so-called 'antiquity'.
I recall the programme that described what would happen if all humans vanished, I think the only thing that would be left in 10,000 years is the Hoover damn.
