Now it's Venus and Jupiter putting on a show. At their closest tonight.

There's too many buildings and hills in the way for me to see it after it's gone dark. There's always Saturn to look at though.

Climb a hill smile

Or go upstairs.

You can see them fairly high in the sky from about 9.30 on.

Sadly, cloud rolled in just at the wrong time last night here in North Hampshire. Typical.

I've just seen them.

A magnificent sight.

I'm not far from you, Eric. So they should be visible now.

I did get to see them last night. In fact, I've been watching the pair of planets get closer and closer over the past few weeks - but the night of closest approach was cloudy. In a few weeks time, Venus will reverse its direction of motion and start heading back towards the sun. When it does that it will eventually pass close to Jupiter again so we should get a repeat performance - in reverse.
