Worrying reports that following the destruction of a satellite in low orbit, the Chinese appear to have tested a system which could be used against geostationary ones

Of course the Pentagon could be misinterpreting things, but the traditional Chinese secretiveness isn't helping allay their fears

Of course the Pentagon is very likely to be exaggerating the threat to get themselves a bigger budget for yet more war toys in space.

It was only the cold war/arms race that got man to the moon. No military threat = no money = no progress it seems.
