Brontosaurus...
Discussion
Yes - although we now have lots of related dinosaurs that were obviously from the same general families.
Have a look at Kentrosaurus -
or Huayangosaurus -

Both belong to the Stegosaur family.
Triceratops was a member of the Ceratopsian family and there were many, many variations on the theme, such as Styracosuarus -
or Monoclonius -

It looks like one guy found "Apatosaurus", and another found "Brontosaurus", but it was then decided they were the same, and the Brontosaurus name was dropped.
Everything called Bronotsaurus was now just a part of the Apatosaurus group.
This is what has changed now, and they have been separated again

For years I've been smugly telling people that there's no such thing as a Brontosarus, now I going to have to find something else to be a smug-know-it-all about now.

Thin on one end. Much, much thicker in the middle. And then thin again on the other end.

Talking of weaponised tails, one of the great ones was the Stegosaurus. They had a spiked tail, but it didn't have a particular name.
This stuck, so now it's called a Thagomizer.
