There was no sarcasm to read. smile

I was stood outside in Essex in 1999, using a welding mask to look at the eclipse. The mask was too dark. I couldn't see anything through it.

I'm not a welder, so I don't know why it didn't work! I ended up borrowing (stealing) a set of the official sun specs from my brother.
