You have to wonder if that is the future. With over population, it is possible that 'normal' food becomes a luxury.

It of course completely misses the point that for many (including me), food is a pleasure. The preparation, presentation and finally eating is something to savour.

This custard is only a complete nutrient if he is correct in his analysis of needs. I notice that the idiot is against saturated fats and has been happy to poison himself with trial and error on stuff like potassium. I'll just watch him on YouTube, thanks.

As an aside, there is no such things as overpopulation - killing each other over food is our natural state. (The vegetarians know this and know that they would lose the fight.)

Erm you sure it wasn't a April article like the one here http://robrhinehart.comwink

Oh and bad news if he believes this :

I was 6 or 7,” Rob Rhinehart began, “and I guess my mother was serving salad. I was looking down at a plate with these leaves on it. I could look outside and see leaves on the trees, and it just seemed a little weird. It seemed a little primitive - like something an animal would do.

Erm Humans are Animals no more no less....

I've always thought that one day eventually all nutritional/functional needs would be taken care of by one solitary pill.

Like computer miniaturisation but with food.

The bowels need bulk and roughage to work.

Nothing new really the idea of food in a pill and Simpo I think your spot on. http://www.bbc.com/future/story/20120221-food-pill...

There is a "Tomoorow's World" clip from 1964 or so going on about food pills.

Thank God that was one of their (many) incorrect predictions.

I suppose the closest we have today is the Gadget Show. Little shiny toys. But then, maybe there isn't so much future to predict now. We have the internet and mobile phones, that seems to keep everyone happy.

Sounds like Slimfast would do the same.

Old/traditional slimfast was rather unbalanced on macro-nutrients. But a quick look shows they have at least one product, which resolves this.
