Why would creatures living underground need light? Unless it's the cast offs from Demolition Man you'd think they would've adapted to darkness.

Edit: I am in no way endorsing that this is the case.

They were tip toeing to the Rover to nick the name plate and spray graffiti and they dropped the torch which accidentally turned itself on.
