Driving eastwards at 5.30/45 this morning, what looked liked a rainbow but with no colour !!, it was a huge arch shape like a rainbow but in a white bright colour, looked strange against the black dark clouds, was there for a good 10 mins, slight drizzle at the time, can this happen in the dark ?

I didn't see it but possibly one of these with Sun just below the horizon?

I didn't see it but I saw something else.the other day. I was looking at planes in the sky and saw a dark shadow of their vapour trails, but these shadows appeared to be ahead of the planes!

A moonbow?

Something like this? (sorry for the crappy photo but it was a phone pic.)

Didn't see it, but I know what you saw. It is a phenomenon of nature, incredibly rare to be seen in public, no one is quite sure why it still comes out and it is, to all intents and purposes, pretty useless. It is also made predominantly of hair and whiskey.

You saw a SueBo.

An unusual thing to see. My Mum and Uncle, who are in their 70s, had never seen one until the one above.

Shortly after that I also saw a moon halo.

I love nature! So amazing!
