quicky for the engineers.

for a fuel system for a temporary [upto 1-2yrs] installation, which is best to use:

- tapered threads and thread sealant.
- parallel threads and dowty seals.

this is for things like instrumentation valves in pipe sockets. jsut wondering which is viewed as providing a more secure seal.

Tapered threads are a bh to make, and if you overtighten it slightly itll crack or split the body the female socket is in. Much easier to use a dowty washer, they seal really well as long as you use newly made washers with supple rubber
