Why are the orbits all curvy on the map of the Earth. Always wondered that?

Very good, it'll probably be moved to boats trains planes or Science but the nerds in there will love it, that's if they haven't already seen it hehe

Nice, thanks for that. I suspect I will have a lot of wasted hours watching this.... And a lot of hours wasted don't the same....

How do I post the Not Sure If Serious thing from Batman?

They're straight trajectories over a curved object, but because it's a map, the curved object (the Earth) has been straightened/flattened out meaning the trajectories have to appear curved instead to show their true path.
If you traced the lines on to a globe they'd be straight.

Ah, this second link gives an explanation as to why the crew are not talking anymore - they are all asleep!

I tried the first link yesterday evening and could see the Earth and hear the crew talking. I've got it on in the background at work and its a black screen and I can just hear static. Going on that second website shows what the crew are doing or what tasks assigned to them - and right now its sleep time!

Despite checking periodically since yesterday afternoon, I've still yet to see anything other than a black screen. I get the occasional radio message though - one of them asking how many wet wipes they'd used...

Ok, smart arse, they'd appear straighter relative to the surface of the globe.

Yeah I sometimes have this on when working at home. Mostly just routine, but sometimes spacewalks and stuff. And they always seem to have an interpreter on when the Russians are talking, which is nice wink

Think I'm missing out here. I've clicked the link loads but all I ever get is the Google tracker in one screen and black in the other but sometimes some audio. Currently just hiss.
