Recycled bottles
Discussion
I guess this could be pigeonholed under environmental science, so perhaps belongs here.
I drink a lot of beer. And wine. And spirits. But only to keep the recycled bottle industry going of course, doing my part for mother earth gaia and all that.
I had thought, back in the day, that all my bottles would be turned back into new bottles by recycling, so encouraging the beer cycle. Alas it was not to be, it seemed that most recycled bottle turn up again as loft insulation!
Question
1. Is this so?
Second question.
2. If this is so, then why the hell do they make me sort out my bottles into green, brown or clear containers?
Do loft insolation salesmen offer different colours of loft insolation? " Would madam prefer the green option? Like French vineyards during WW2 where young French ladies warmed shot down allied airmen at night the same way our green loft insolation will warm you also?"
Any thoughts?
