Private enterprise does in 2013 what Government money did in 1947!

More like 1958-68.

This more or less emulates what the X-15 could do - although it will carry passengers so it is a bit of a step forward from the X-15.

Great idea.

And I've got theatrical and presentation experience (although I'm not as devilishly handsome as Mr May).

It gives a whole new meaning to the term 'burning rubber'.

I had the misfortune recently to share a helicopter with one of the very first Bransonauts.

A self satisfied, arrogant, preening, faux modest, self centred American twonk of the very highest order.

To be honest Eric, I can't remember his name. I met him in Las Vegas in February. He was wearing a Virgin Galactic bomber jacket, which was pointed out to all and sundry by his fawning trophy wife. He told me that he was to be the very first paying customer. I remember wiki'ing his name at the time at it checked out that he was on the list.

Even mild mannered Mrs Blib go annoyed with the chap in the helicopter. When we landed to refuel, having spent 40 minutes cooped up with this chap, his wife made a point of approaching us to apologise for his antics. Mrs Blib cut her short by saying, "Well, at least I don't have to live with him"

On the flight back to the city, he actually asked the helicopter pilot to take his hands from the controls so that he could take a photo with the chap's humungous camera. The pilot pointed out that if he did that, we'd crash. At that point I just couldn't control myself any longer and laughed uproariously. He wasn't amused.

I wish no harm on anyone. But, really.

I can't remember. Got a link to the names? I may be able to work it out.

Well he's only a tourist, just 'considerably richer than yow!' (to quote Harry Enfield in a thick Birmingham accent)

Hey! How very dare you! I'll have you know that I'm a powerfully built, goatee sporting, company director!

I've checked out the list and I can't work out who it is. When I checked in February I googled his name and worked it out that way. Oh well. He's still a twonk.
