Just heard on the news that a man has had a hand transplanted, whilst he is not the first the doctors are hopefull that it will be a complete success, stating the largest barrier to recovery is the "mental" rejection of the limb.

Reminds me of the end of a courtroom story.
Lawyer: 'Is it possible that the suspect could be alive?'
Doctor: 'No'
Lawyer: 'How can you be so sure?'
Doctor: 'Because I have his brain in a jar on my desk'
Lawyer: 'But he could still be deemed to be technically alive, no?'
Doctor: :sigh: 'Well, he could be practicing law somewhere, yes'.

How about revitalising your brain - very early days but this could end up being a cure for things like Alzheimers http://interestingengineering.com/index.php/the-be...But how about a brain transplant?
