You'll forgive me for giving little credence to an article written by a tub-thumping eco-warrior that is formed largely of quotes from Greenpeace, the "International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons", "No Money for Nuclear", and "Communities Against Nuclear Expansion".

Instead I would look to the fact that all the major nuclear powers in the world are actively developing the technology and that benefits are both profound and intensely important. Effectively, the challenges that remain are engineering and economic, and I have almost unbounded confidence in our ability as a race to overcome both of these.

It's fine. We can divide the world into two halves. All the hippies can go into one half and eat tofu in the gloom of their windmill-powered eco-lights, and the rest of us can get on with normal life.
