The Space Shuttle Endeavour makes one last spectacular 2 day journey through the streets of LA. God I wish I lived in Calnifornia, what a sight that must be.

BBC News said:
Los Angeles residents have been turning out to watch the US space shuttle Endeavour as it inches through the city on a giant trolley, bound for a museum.

The spacecraft that once reached 17,000mph (28,160km/h) is trundling down the city's famously low-level boulevards at a stately 2mph.

"It's pretty neat to see a spaceship in the street," a spectator told local TV.

Endeavour began its 12-mile, two-day journey on Friday and is due to end up at the California Science Center.

Reminds me of Enterprise's first trip to Edward's AFB over 36 years ago.

The difference between those two photo's??

Yup, the cars in the second pic have more computing power onboard than the spacecraft behind them. The huge leap in high speed digital technology is incredible when you stop the think about it!

I love how much work has gone into setting this up with the road closures and clearances and just how many people are out there to see it.

End's in LA, I know one is going to the Smithsonian, where's the rest of the fleet gone? Is there going to be one on Intrepid on New York?
