What websites do you uses for scientific research or fun background reading!
I readed alot on http://phys.org/ some of the readers comments do my head in either the wierd scientologist or anti-science brigade. I do like a read of the arguments between scientologist and scientist though, the argument through logic and anti-logic is fun!
My favourite topics are nanotechnology, electronics, biochemisty and materials-science. This is see is what is going to affect the human race in near to far distance in time! Can't wait to see what people research and using real life in 10-20 years time!

ETA I also use the 360 news app on my tablet to filter nuclear stories. You can set it up for any discipline and works really well.
