Was flying back from Houston back in the day and was sat next to Gene Cernan.

Had a great chat with him.

He didn't seem to be making it all up to me smile

That’s why they employed such accomplished actors for the roles of the astronauts, Mission Control staff and the several hundred thousand people pretending to work on designing and building the rockets.

RIP Bill Anders.
At least he went doing what he loved.

With only four Apollo-era astronauts still alive, as of today, we are approaching the end of a remarkable period and generation of people.

Incidentally it looks like Anders was attempting some sort of barrel roll or loop over water when he crashed.

Only mention it as so little has been reported other than a "crash".

At 90 years of age he could very well have suffered a "medical" incident as he performed the roll.

Juan Brown on the Blancilario You Tube channel also feels that he may have initiated the manouever at too low an altitude.

I think what is sad is that people like this devote their lives to space travel and exploration, literally decades studying and devotion. They sacrifice often their own personal lives for it.

Then a CT comes along having had a chat with a mate down the pub 'that knows about these things' or watches some drivel on YT and thinks that they would stand up to a debate with the above mentioned about whether it was all real or not.

Its an utter joke. It really is.
