Had a look up earlier this evening and managed to see a quite bright satellite heading north to south. No shooting stars though.

Ursid shower peaks tonight. Has a fairly low hourly rate and the moon is going to be strong so you would need to be in a dark sky.

Would originate from Ursa Minor which is pretty easy to find if you have a compass as Polaris is part of it and thats due North.

We drove up to Paphos Forest last night as that's supposed to be the darkest part of Cyprus. Unfortunately the moon was quite bright but we did see a few streaks.

Also saw quite a few of what I'm assuming we're Starlink satellites, although just guessing. Definitely not planes and far too slow for shooting stars.

Small slow moving dots across the sky are Starlink. Dont have to spend long looking up on a clear night to see a few of those.
