Evolution - is it real?

So, human evolved from Apes or fish?
2 different schools of thinking when digging into the subject.
Not quite, basically, there is a singe common ancestor, effectively singled cell organism, and from that think if it more as radiated outwards, like tree branches. It's not a linear progression. That's why we can have humans and apes alongside each other. 2 different schools of thinking when digging into the subject.
fish are further back in that evolutionary tree.
It's also why you don't see frogmonkeys or whatever,
That's a bit rough and ready and I am sure someone will explain it a little more coherently, but this is helpful to visualise what I am saying.

Thanks, I like that visual, where did you get it from? fish are further back in that evolutionary tree.

Not sure if genuinely befuddled or trolling.

It was the either/or that was weird - we have lots of different ancestors, depends how far back you go.https://www.bbc.com/news/health-13278255

This is one element of evolution I do not agree with. I simply don't agree that we are descended from sea life. I DO believe we were more ape-like though.

Once again, evolution doesn't give a stuff what you agree with. The facts are very clear. Unless you have something concrete to add to the enormous body of scientific evidence?

Have a look at the laryngeal nerve, in mammals this nerve takes an apparently strange & pointless route resulting in it being very long and doing a massive loop to end up a short distance from where it started (especially giraffes!). If you look at our marine ancestors, it makes more sense because the route takes it directly from the brain to the gills.

I assume that to make this assertion you are familiar with all of the evidence supporting it and have issues with it. Which bits do you disagree with and why?MYOB said:

Thank you. I was having a dull day and needed a laugh.Where do you think the ape forms came from?
Pretty much all mammals have come from sea life

You know the way you look a bit like your dad, not that much like your grandad, hardly anything like your great grandad and nothing al all like your great great grandad. Well take that idea and run with it.
We are not ape like, we are apes. We're one of the 5 great apes. Hence we look more like chimps (who are also great apes) that gibbons, because we're more closely related, although we do look a bit like gibbons. We look nothing like bananas or sharks, because we are only distantly related to bananas and sharks. But we are closer to sharks than bananas, hence we have 2 eyes and a mouth, like sharks, but unlike bananas.
