Dear Belgium
It would appear from the stat's that there are not many people posting stuff on the Belgium thread. This is a trend I hope to address by sending out a hail and hearty hello,to all our Belgian brethren! So what news is there from your part of the wonderful and varied place we call Europe?

There are quite a few Belgians on here, but mostly post in the sections of interest (Ferrari, Aston, TVR, ...)
That said, after the "government actions" on car ownership for business owners, the number of actual sportscars has decreased dramatically.

Suddendly people who payed €150/month in tax for their company sportscar/SUV where faced with a bill of up to a €1.000/month. So quite a lot of interesting day to day cars got sold and were exported.
Belgium did some recent changes when in comes to the 'tax de mise en circulation', the tax you have to pay to register the car (and subsequently every year of course).
I remember when I bought my FN2 CTR, I paid 184 EUR road tax for a year here on Luxembourgish plates - the equivalent car in Belgium would be near 2000 EUR (PA!!).
They are trying to make nice car ownership as hard as possible, taxing the big engines like there's no tomorrow.
Strangely, in Flanders, expensive car ownership has become far less expensive compared to Wallony.
I know many Belgians but not many of them are car people.
Those that are, though, are die hard petrolheads!

And I'm one of these petrolhead !
Owning a car in Belgium, especially in Wallony is really expensive... and I don't want to drive a bloody Diesel car.
So mine is a little Lancia Ypsilon Twinair from 2012 and I really enjoy it even if it lacks of power... 85 hp is enough for this small car though.
I'm new here so I will post a little introduction in the right section soon
Shoutout to all the Belgian Pistonhead here
