Subaru transmission specialist
Discussion
Hi All.
Can anyone recommend a transmission specialist please - preferably in South East England?
The gearbox in my 160k miles manual 6 speed Legacy 3.0r is sounding a bit tired (not surprisingly), so I'm looking into getting it refurbished if it's reasonably feasible.
The gearbox will engage the gears just fine but after a long drive the viscous coupling plates in the centre diff tend to bind causing the knocking when turning on/near full lock, plus there's a general whine which I've been told is most likely the rear tail shaft bearing.
Many thanks in advance,
Paul.

Medway Transmissions have done work for me in the past. Always done a good job for sensible money. In the town centre as well so easy walk to the station.
