Need some advice re: what to do and pricing up for a sale

So need a little advice... I have a Subaru bug eye WRX that will (without a doubt) fail its MOT. It needs the MAF sorting by Scoobyclinic that did the stage 1, the window winder is broken and it needs new calipers and disks on the front. It is quite tired and needs some money spending on it. Its not an easy thing to price up.
However... unlike most of the cars from that age, it has less than 70K genuine miles and I am the second owner..
How do I price up something like that. I am half tempted to keep as a project but IDK... It's a 21 year old car....
Questions
1) Am I just being too sentimental and lets just call it for what it is, an old car
2) The lad at the local garage is interested, all faults known, but what would be considered a reasonable, meet in the middle price?

You're certainly not being sentimental. They are desirable cars, as the price of used ones on Autotrader shows (and as you say, plenty with six figure mileages) - although who knows if any sell at that price.
The issues seem easy to fix - especially if you have the time to keep the car off the road to send the calipers off to be refurbed - so certainly not suitable for selling at a scrap price.
(Also, is the garage lad just going to fix it and sell it on to make some cash, or is he an enthusiast looking for a project car? That might also impact your generosity in setting the price)
It doesn't seem outrageous to think you could spend £3-4k with a garage getting it perfect and still sell it for £10k+ so that's going to be your starting point.

Brakes don't have to come from Gucci, but i'd not fit new ones until you are ready to MOT or sell unless the car is kept in a dry garage, could you free the old calipers off enough to get it through the MOT and then fit new brakes just before sale?
Only you know how much sorting the running issues will cost, hard to find anyone who can diagnose Subarus any more, main dealers don't want to know anything older.
